Dean will bring his Living River Exhibit to Valpo, and we will have an opportunity to directly observe the living benthic macroinvertebrates in a setting more natural than we have ever seen before. He will also present a talk on energy flow in the river.

Indiana on the Fly was awesome for TFF!

Just a quick update on the club and what went on this weekend at Indiana on the Fly.

We gained four new members this weekend, so welcome to the new folks. Glad to have you join our little club.
It was awesome to see and meet many new faces and see some old friends. Huge thanks to all who showed up and helped out at the TFF booth, you guys really make this an awesome group to belong to.

Indiana On The Fly Show Free Flies Drawing!

Join Tippecanoe Fly Fishers at Indiana On The Fly Saturday January 7th 2012 from 9am to 5pm at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. The club will be tying flies again this year and the proceeds will benefit Casting For Recovery and Tippecanoe Fly Fishers Not-For-Profit conservation and education efforts.

I had previously posted a thread announcing a raffle for a TFO custom fly rod that I had to remove. Our Treasurer informed me that for a Charitable Organization to host a raffle we must be licensed through the Indiana Gaming Commission. We do not have enough time to obtain this license for the Indiana On The Fly show but we will have one for next year. In place of the raffle we will have a no purchase necessary drawing for a dozen flies tied by our talented members. Donations are gladly accepted and help us with our conservation and educational efforts. All you need to do is fill out a drawing form at the show and the drawing will take place at 4:30pm on Saturday the 7th.

    Merry Christmas!

    Annual Auction nets great return!

The October 20th TFF Auction raised over 725 dollars for Tippecanoe Fly Fishers and NICHES! Everyone who came had a fun time and walked away with some super deals while helping our cause at the same time. Special thanks to Bob McKinniss, our auctioneer and his faithful assistant, Ray! Plenty of bids…lots of laughter! We all had a marvelous time! Thanks also to all those who contributed items for this year’s auction, both commercial and private! What an awesome club…and by that I mean its members!
